Property Manager - On-site

We are seeking an experienced community manager for a market rent apartment community. Must be detail-oriented, highly organized and able to interact effectively with prospects, residents, staff and management

This position requires strong leasing and organizational skills. You must have recent experience with Yardi and at least 2 years of recent management experience in a similarly sized building.

 

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of recent experience as a residential manager of 100+ unit building
  • Highly organized and able to work independently, prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines.
  • Positive attitude, punctual, dependable, self-starter, ability to multi task
  • Must live On Site
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws
  • Good computer skills -Yardi proficient
  • Excellent oral and written English skills
  • Valid Driver's License, insurance and car

Your Leasing Responsibilities Will Include :

  • Showing apartments and answering prospective residents’ questions about pricing
  • Prepare leasing agreements
  • Verify applications and follow up on applications including resident screening
  • Follow up on prospects and leads
  • Maintain prospect records using Yardi

Other Management Duties will Include :

  • Ensure both appearance, cleanliness and physical condition of the property are in good condition at all times.
  • Coordinate the maintenance of the property with vendors and maintenance supervisor to ensure the quality and timeliness of maintenance efforts.
  • Schedule unit turns with vendors and maintenance supervisor
  • Maintain work order board
  • Order parts and supplies
  • Oversee performance of maintenance and porter staff
  • Solicit bids for maintenance or repair work and coordinate vendor activities for contracted services
  • Collect rent and other tenant charges.
  • Serve notices
  • Plan community events
  • Utilize online accounting system, including but not limited to creating purchase orders, reviewing invoices and matching to P.O., batching and closing.
  • Must provide excellent customer service to all residents, prospects and vendor.
