Seeking a Controller for a well established boutique real estate investment, development and property management firm in West Los Angeles. The candidate we are seeking will must have experience with all three divisions of real estate; Real Estate Investment, Development and Property Management and worked with a portfolio of at least 1500 units.

Summary /Objective Manage accounting department providing information about all company activities that will assist management, its investors and other users.

Controller Essential Function

  • Oversee the activities of the accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements and other need reports.
  • Oversee the activities of the disbursement department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, cash control and payroll processing
  • Oversee the activities of the accounts receivable department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts.
  • Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the company's value.
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

Controller Requirements

  • BA in accounting required
  • CPA optional
  • 5 or more years of Real Estate Financial, Development, Property Management as controller experience
  • Experience with Property Management Software
  • Experience with Microsoft office
